Virginia Mountain Woodworks LLC is a custom woodworking company located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. We design and craft fine custom wood and glass products; cabinetry, built-ins, furniture, doors and stained and leaded glass. All of our pieces are handcrafted of the finest materials; hardwood, solid wood, stained glass, and beveled glass. We take pride in each handmade item.

Our team is small but with years of varied experience in wood and glass products. We take quality and customer satisfaction to heart.

Richard Weigand and William Simpson lead the woodworking and design area whether it be furniture, cabinets, doors, art glass, or leaded glass. Their work is constantly evolving with new designs being created with each new client. Richard concentrates on fine custom handmade furniture and William is an exceptional custom cabinet maker. With William's years of woodworking experience, and his design background, he is not content with the status quo. Both are constantly working to improve their methods and designs bringing their woodworking up to new levels.

It is significant to note that the wood selected for our furniture is frequently harvested right here in Southwest Virginia, and that all lumber used is domestic. All pieces are individually crafted, always utilizing the natural grains to their best advantage. We dovetail drawers at all four corners, utilize hardwood or mechanical drawer slides, whichever you prefer, and complete pieces with the beautiful custom finish of your choice. Our cabinets and furniture are as pleasant to touch and live with as they are to look at. We create your custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets and living space built-ins exactly to your drawings and specifications – there is no assembly line here. Our cabinet production manager has a degree in Architectural Design so we are happy to make suggestions as you need and want them. Custom cabinets always give you more storage room and are an installer’s dream. Our attention to detail illustrates a commitment to creating your cabinetry as if we were making it for ourselves.
